History

Established in 1996, with 20 years of industry experience to serve.

Verona Safety Supply, Inc. was established in 1996 in Verona, Wisconsin, when an overall lack of customer service that was both professional and friendly was identified in the marketplace. Verona Safety believed concentrating on old fashioned values while providing customers with cost saving alternatives would fill a void for the residential and commercial end user. Over the next five years, the company grew at a grassroots level throughout the state of Wisconsin.

In August 2001, Verona Safety augmented their operation by relocating to a new facility located in Madison, Wisconsin. The new location increased the square footage of their operation by more than ten-fold. At this time, they also welcomed the new additions of David Anunson and Doug Groy; who brought an exceptional knowledge of the safety industry, coupled with a commitment to continue Verona Safety's philosophy of exceptional customer service.

In March of 2004, Jason Schaefer became the latest corporate member; bringing a mastery of accounting to Verona Safety Supply, all while echoing the traditional values and philosophy that the company was built on. The three amigos: Dave, Doug, and Jason, operated Verona for several years, focusing on expansion and cementing Verona Safety as a well-known and trusted name in the industry.

By 2007, Verona Safety had grown beyond expectations and needed additional employees in order to properly manage the sales increases they were experiencing. At the end of 2006, Nicholas Bryant was hired as an independent contractor and would eventually become Midwest Region Sales Manager. In October of 2007, Curtis Lawrence was hired on as a full-time purchasing manager; bringing with him an abundance of managerial knowledge and experience.

Samie Gossfeld was hired in November of 2009 as warehouse lead, and would eventually become the National Safety Specialist through hard work and determination. With the hire of Shelly Murphy in January of 2010, Verona Safety Supply solidified a pivotal customer service manager position, allowing upper management to focus on developing other sales avenues to diversify the company's offerings in order to better serve the customer.

In 2013, Verona Safety Supply strengthened its staff with the hire of Tammy Zimbric and Bryan Gage. This addition of a dedicated accounts payable and customer service associate, along with a warehouse lead helped to make Verona Safety more efficient and productive than ever. In January of 2014, Verona Safety hired Zac Matthias to manage their online presence in an effort to break into the well-established online retail market.

Verona Safety is now a nationally recognized supplier of safety and first aid equipment to the industrial, construction, laboratory and food processing marketplaces with end users throughout the United States as well as Canada.
